Nacua, 23, has claimed he is going to hang up his cleats by the time he's 30 - focusing on family life over football.
The 2023 fifth round draft pick became a regular starter in his first season and was a second-team All-Pro.
While he had another standout campaign for the Rams last season and is rated as a top prospect in the league.
But despite his success so far, Nacua is certain that he doesn't want to play for too long.
He told the Join The Lobby podcast: "I know I want to retire at the age of 30. I’m 23 right now, I’m going into Year Three – it wouldn’t even be 10 years. It’d be maybe seven or eight."
Nacua highlighted former Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald as an example of a player who knew when to call it quits at the right time.
"I think of Aaron Donald, to go out at the top, I think it would be super cool", he added.
"But also, I want to have a big family. I want to have at least a starting five. I came from a big family so I need five boys, for sure.
"But also, like, I want to be able to be a part of their lives and be as active as I can with them. The injuries are something you can’t control (as) part of the game, so you never know.
"Hopefully, the rest of the career can go healthy, but you have shoulder surgery, you have knee surgery, you have ankle.
"By the time my kids could be 18, I could be barely walking if you play the game and sustain all the injuries and stuff like that, but I want to retire early.”
Should Nacua play until he is 30, then he will have managed nine seasons in the NFL.
That would be one short of the 10 years Aaron Donald played for the Rams, but would still be significantly longer than the average NFL career of just over three years.
