Jimmy Butler is not backing down from anything as he prepares to face the Miami Heat for the first time since being traded to Golden State. The Warriors forward had a fiery response Monday when asked if he had a response for Heat fans who grew tired of him in Miami. Butler essentially asked if those fans feel the same way about how stagnant the team itself has become. “I wonder if they look at the Heat the same way. It ain’t like I was the one who was doing everything,” Butler said.

Butler has to feel a bit vindicated by the Heat’s struggles since the trade. Miami had lost ten in a row before beating the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. Clearly, their issues ran much deeper than just Butler and whatever disruption he was creating.
Now with the Warriors, Butler is thriving, and he has been pretty dismissive of the Heat as he readies himself for Tuesday’s game. This is just further evidence that whatever is going on now in Miami has him completely unbothered.
