Watford goalkeeper Jonathan Bond is in talks with Houston Dynamo, according to a report by Football Insider.

Watford re-signed the stopper last summer to boost their goalkeeping department. He has made 13 appearances in all competitions so far this season, nine of which have come in the Championship.

Bond, 31, is out of contract at the end of the campaign and is due to become a free agent. The ‘keeper is yet to put pen-to-paper on an extension at Vicarage Road and is poised to head out the exit door in June as things stand. In this latest update regarding his future in Hertfordshire by Football Insider, he is said to be in discussions with Houston Dynamo regarding a return to MLS. He was on the books of LA Galaxy from 2021 up until last year and played 92 matches for the American outfit before heading back home to England. Watford landed Bond to add more cover to their goalkeeping department. He rose up through up through the Hornets’ academy ranks and was a regular for them at various different youth levels as a youngster. The ex-England youth international went on to play 33 matches. He was also loaned out to the likes of Forest Green Rovers, Dagenham & Redbridge and Bury to get some experience.
