Manchester United drew 1-1 with Ipswich Town in Ruben Amorim’s first game in charge on Sunday. Marcus Rashford gave United the lead inside two minutes as he prodded home following some good play from Amad down the right-hand side. Onana saves well from Delap United struggled to control the game having taken the lead and they were pegged back just before half time as Omari Hutchinson’s strike flicked off Noussair Mazraoui’s head and looped over Andre Onana. Neither side could find a winner in the second half as Amorim was forced to settle for a point from his first game in charge. Here are how the players rated at Portman Road. Andre Onana Made two excellent saves from Sammie Szmodics and Liam Delap before he was lucklessly beaten by Omari Hutchinson's deflected equaliser. Brilliantly foiled Delap again at 1-1. 8 Noussair Mazraoui Was doing decently in his fourth different role this season until Hutchinson's effort shaved his crown. Otherwise slotted in decently. 7 Matthijs de Ligt Not for the first time, failed to be the commanding presence in the defender-striker physical duel. All over the place for Delap's chances. 5 Jonny Evans Found it tough going at times as Ipswich were allowed to seize control of the contest. Sensibly removed well before the hour. 5 Diogo Dalot Still on the left even with Mazraoui at centre back and still underperforming. Has not regained confidence just because he is now coached by a compatriot. 5 Casemiro Bust a gut but failed to hold the fort and Amorim shook his head at the ease with which Ipswich transitioned from defence to attack. Came off early in the second half. 5 Christian Eriksen Decent on the ball but a liability off it that Ipswich often sought to exploit. Both starters in United's short-term midfield did not last the full 90. 5 Amad Did brilliantly to sprint and cross for Marcus Rashford's goal after 80 seconds but defensively suspect, unsurprisingly. Came close in added time. 6 Alejandro Garnacho Amorim was regularly on his case during a meek first half. Had a chance to score early in the second and seflishly failed to square to Marcus Rashford. 4 Bruno Fernandes Seemed to expend as much energy complaining or appealing as he did playing. Bar one blocked shot, he was on the fringes. Came close with a free kick. 4 Marcus Rashford Lightning struck twice as he scored in the second minute, having scored in the third minute of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first game. Then Rashford regressed. 6 Subs Manuel Ugarte Sloppy. 5 Luke Shaw Off the pace on first club appearance in nine months. 5 Joshua Zirkzee A dubious choice of attacking substitution. 4 Rasmus Hojlund Declined to shoot after engineering the space. 5 Mason Mount Late cameo. 5 Manager Starting Rashford up front was vindicated after 80 seconds and the use of Amad in a wide role was adventurous. Proactive with substitutions. 6
